A Nice Day at "Golestan Palace"
3

The organizing committee of WWCC provided an excursion at "Golestan Palace" for the guests on February 13th.

The Golestan Palace, literally the Roseland Palace, is the former royal Qajar complex in Iran's capital city, Tehran. One of the oldest historic monuments in the city of Tehran, and of world heritage status, the Golestan Palace belongs to a group of royal buildings that were once enclosed within the mud-thatched walls of Tehran's citadel. It consists of gardens, royal buildings, and collections of Iranian crafts and European presents from the 18th and 19th centuries.

15 persons of WWCC2017 participants attended the tour. The feedbacks were good and all of them enjoyed their times at the Palace.

The second part of the excursion was shopping, that was great for women! The WWCC2017 guests, or better to say tourists now, bought many Iranian beautiful handicrafts as souvenirs.

The Women's World Chess Championships 2017 was over for some players but hopefully they will be back home with good memories of Tehran.
