The press conference, devoted to the Women's World Chess Championship was held in Espinas Palace in Tehran on 9th of February. It was attended by the FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov, FIDE CEO Geoffrey Borg, President of the Iranian Chess Federation Mehrdad Pahlevanzadeh and Iranian chess players - participants of the tournament. They spoke about the peculiarities of the upcoming championship and replied to the numerous questions of the journalists. Mehrdad Pahlevanzadeh pointed out that all the games will have live video broadcasting and spectators will get a chance to see all their favourite players. The Match Arbiters will be assigned to each competing pair of chess players. It is expected that the President of Republic of Iran Hassan Rouhani, the President of Moldova Igor Dodon and the Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports of Iran Masoud Soltanifar and other officials will attend the opening ceremony.
